Bases Base raiding is not a primary gameplay feature . Other than that, we know very little about what actual weapons or mechanics could be involved as it's still under NDA.
Blood You can get blood from fallen foes and using a Blood Extractor and Blood Sack . You can drink the blood but you get a de buff , Your water bar will go up but your health bar will get shorter. can also take it to your base and purify it into usable water.
Climbing Is a free form climbing system allowing you to climb anywhere . ( I like this !)
Enemies When you take an enemy down you can chose to exacute or carry on fighting.
Experience Performing various actions grants experience.
2pts Harvesting Plant Fiber , Granite Stone, Salvaged Metal . 11-24pts Kill someone.
Fabrication see Crafting
Gathering You can pick up various objects that can provide resources for crafting. see Crafting
Gating There is no level gating , that means there are no level requirements for items ,if you can buy it you can usually equip it.
Harvesting see Crafting
Heal kits Work instantaneously , when you heal you will also see the stamina bar appear.
Hydrating You can hydrate yourself to a limited degree from plant sap.( water from plants )
Landsraad The Landsraad is the high council of the great houses , The decisions made here have ramifications on Arrakis , and those decisions are entirely based on player actions.
Moisture Seals Caves can be moisture sealed , these seals can by cut to allow passage.
Push Pull The combat system has the push pull mechanic were the design focuses on moving people in and out of melee combat range , charge for sword-master , voice for Bene Gesserit .
Quests The "quests" in awakening are contracts and Journeys , they are not the core focus of the progression system , they are more for an open world sandbox experience. Main progression is Crafting and building driven progression , you can be handed the best weapon in the game 5 minutes in , there is no gateing on items.
Sheltered Left on the UI is an icon that tells you if you are sheltered or unsheltered , good for knowing if you are somewhere that is good for recover from spice and sunstroke.
Stamina "Stamina drains when performing actions such as climbing , sprinting , or attacking , when your stamina reaches Zero , you can no longer climb or sprint." ,Stamina recharges automaticity.( seems to come back quite quickly no actual figures known)
Stamina bar Green bar above health bar. You need stamina to climb , sprint or attack .
Sunstroke In the top middle of the UI , there is a sunstroke meter when that becomes full you enter the sunstroke state. Its white building up and turns red when its been activated. when sun stroked you suffer a de-buff . Water goes down quicker than it would normally . ( Best Practice is to avoid the sun , stay in shadows / sheltered were possible ) This effect will ware off eventually if you stay in the shade long enough.
Spice You are effected by spice in the air , a meter will show to the UI on the Left in a vertical format. If this happens you need to get somewhere safe , a sheltered spot before the spice overwhelms their senseis . Spice is a significant part of the game.
