A No , religion will be a part of the game and players can be involved but the main story dose not allow for players to become Messiahs.

A Two simple things first , Move about at night and stick to shadows , the world is dynamic and shadows will move. Second way is to get / Craft a still-suit , they resist heat and preserve water better. Also Still tents can be useful. less useful but possible is to craft something that provides shade i.e. buildings.

A As you play you can go through rituals were you can get designs at the end of Fremen gear.

A you will drop your items and resourses but not your equiped gear.
